Music Study - Crash, boom, bang

Hi families,
The children did a wonderful job for their Spring Sing performance and they looked great in the cowboy hats and bandanas. Please share you favorite pictures.
We are excited to end our year with a creative and educational study - Music:  Crash, Boom, Bang. Your children will learn about tempo, sounds, instruments, types of music (classical, musicals, jazz,...), and all of this will be incorporated with numbers, letters, colors, feelings, and shapes. If you have musical talent, please come to class and share, just let me know.

  • This week is our last letter - /z/, after that we will review all letters and match them with upper case letters.
  • We will practice counting in rhythm
  • Need many recyclables like cylinder oatmeal containers, 28 oz cans (cleaned), paint stir sticks, strong paper plates, drum sticks, and duct tape.
As the weather heats up, remember sunscreen and hats are very helpful. We want to encourage health and safety by washing kids hands as soon as they arrive at school and throughout the day.
I can hardly believe we are so close to the end of the school year, it hardly seems possible. Lets have an exciting last month! Graduation ceremonies will be held May 1 and 2. Water play days on May 3 and 4.
Ms. Renee
