How fast the year is going! February has been an exciting month with our Valentines Party and coming to the end of the alphabet with Zoo Phonics. Our Post Office was a big hit and many of you probably received letters written by your children. It was so much fun to watch the children explore the Post Office and challenge themselves to write letters to loved ones. Our dramatic play area is about to be transformed into a grocery store. So bring your child's favorite food (box only, i.e./ Cheerios) and we can add it to the shelves of our grocery store.
Next week we will be celebrating Dr. Suess with a wacky week of fun! Expect things to be different from usual to fit our theme. With books like "Wacky Wednesday" and "There's a Wocket in my Pocket" I just had to save the letter "w" for next week, so I skipped that letter and did x, y, and z this week. X-rays, Yellow Yo-Yo's, and Zebras are the focus.
Then we have a two-week spring break with a fun trip to the Long Beach Aquarium planned on March 14th. When we return it will be the last week of March and the week before Easter. We will have our Easter party on Thursday and Friday of that week including an Easter Egg hunt. I have been in touch with my room moms about our plans. Expect to learn more soon.
