February Fun

Dear families,
February is upon us and with it comes many fun activities. We start the month celebrating 100 days of school. This Monday and Tuesday our children will be doing all sorts of activities that equal 100. Then on February 6 and 7 we will have our Fire Museum Field Trip. There are flyers in our classroom with more details, sign-up ASAP. The second week we have our Valentines Party on Feb. 13 and 14. Please prepare a Valentine card for your classmates. We have 20 children, no names need to be put on the cards. This will make it easier to hand out their cards. Each child will be making a Valentine box holder, so please provide a cereal box for your child to decorate. We need all the boxes the first week of February so we can prepare them to be decorated next week Tuesday/Wednesday.

• Continue learning the days of the week and in honor of the Presidential holidays we will learn the flag salute and the song, "Your a Grand Ol' Flag"
• Fine motor skills:  cutting

We will continue our study of transportation and host the Post Office in dramatic play. We are in need of stickers (especially square ones that could act as a stamp), paper, envelopes, and play vehicles to fit with our transportation theme.
