For our week of September 26 to 30 we will celebrate Johnny Appleseed's birthday on Monday and Tuesday. Please remember to have your children wear red and if you signed up to bring an ingredient to the party, please remember to do so. On Thursday and Friday we will travel to Willowbrook Apple Farm in Oak Glen. While we are there I hope to have the children take what we have learned in class and transfer that knowledge to what they will experience at the apple farm.
Studying apples has been so much fun! If you can believe it, three of our planted apple seeds have take root and are starting to grow! Our science area is growing and I appreciate all the things families have brought to add to our learning adventure. Nature is full of life and learning opportunities!! If you find anything in your yard or perhaps your child has a certain animal they are interested in, consider developing a display for our science area.
Moving ahead to October, please keep your eyes on the Giving Tree to see if there are opportunities to help prepare our next adventure.
