Scarecrows and Pumpkins

Before you know it we will be on our way to the Pumpkin Patch, October 24 and 25. In preparation for our field trip we will continue studying the farm, but moving our focus from bees to scarecrows and pumpkins. I could us some help acquiring pumpkins for our activities during the next couple of weeks. For our Harvest Party (October 27 and 28) we will have some real pumpkin puzzles (Anyone love carving pumpkins? Let me know.), roast pumpkin seeds, make texture name plates with pumpkin seeds, and more.
Next week we will work on making scarecrows and discovering why farmers used them in their fields.

Don't forget the Jubilee this Friday from 4 to 7PM. Thank you to all the children who colored their fish. These fish will help decorate our classroom booth.
