Pets

Dear families, 

Our apple farm field trip was wonderful and full of adventure. While we were there we saw some fun pets. Our children love pets, so our study is turning toward pets. I changed the house in dramatic play into a veterinarian clinic. Here they will get practice working together, writing, caring for animals, and new vocabulary. Please help us create a wonderful clinic. If anyone has connections with a clinic and think they would be willing to make a donation, we would appreciate it. I have a couple of real dog x-rays but would love posters of pets that points out body parts. We would also appreciate collars, leashes, pet beds, and anything you can imagine would help in our study.

This week will continue our study of the letter /b/, the number 3, and the shape circle. Next week we will move to the letter /c/ and I will be doing an assessment to see how well our children are learning the sounds of their letters.

Most importantly, we need to assist our children in learning to participate correctly during circle time. Your assistance in positive reinforcement and redirection is greatly appreciated.
